Women Building Women

Women Building Women is a vibrant, dynamic, nonprofit organization created by BCA Founder and Managing Partner, Wanda McPhaden. The organization exists to give women the tools they need to empower themselves, each other, and perhaps most importantly, their children. Women Building Women will accomplish this goal through a networking system and programs that will teach women how to define and come into their spirituality; obtain financial independence; and focus on their physical well-being. It is only through tending these areas first that women can overcome existing "cultural conversations" that have limited them and create new conversations that will unleash unlimited, world-changing possibilities for them and the generations to come.

Wanda McPhaden knows only too well the cultural conversations that have prevented women from becoming empowered in their own right. Wanda shares the following example: "My parents chose to use my brother's college fund to buy him a car when he said he wasn't going to college, even though they knew I wanted to go to college. In their world, they couldn't understand what the point would be for a woman to go to college. Women stayed home to take care of the house and the kids."

Putting herself through college to the post-graduate level and then moving on to reach the top of her chosen field--real estate sales-while raising two kids, Wanda always knew there was nothing personal in her parents' decision. There were just these cultural conversations about what women were supposed to do. Or not.

Today, despite all of the progress women have made, many of these conversations still exist, and McPhaden has had enough. Women Building Wealth is her vehicle to drive women to their ultimate destination of empowerment and to teach them that there are no limits to what they can achieve.

McPhaden believes that women need to take responsibility for creating their own successes. Women Building Women will instill that sense of responsibility by encouraging women to learn from and make use of many of the same networking and support systems that men have been relying on for decades. Women Building Women will facilitate and be a catalyst for women finding each other and creating what they need to succeed; it will NOT enable women to continue in the conundrum of "doing it all, all at once." McPhaden states that the only thing you get out of being all things to all people is exhausted, with nothing left over for yourself.

Currently still in its infancy, the organization will launch its programs and seminars soon. To join the mailing list, please click here.
